Bounce Light: Gold

IN THIS LESSON YOU WILL LEARN:  This is Part 2 of a 6 Part Series on Bounce light, where we go into 22 different bounce materials.  We show side by sides so you can really see the color difference and the quality difference of each one.  Have you ever used Bleached Muslin or Grifflon as a bounce source?  Have you ever compared the quality of Foam core to Bead board?  Welcome to the Hurlbut Academy where we do the tests that no one ever has time for and we do it so you can perfect your craft.  Gold is one of my favorite colors to create, but it is very difficult to find a gel that does it as beautiful as a Gold bounce.  In this lesson I dive into deep on all gold sources and really show you how stunning GOLD bounces are far superior to Gel and the correct etiquette to get the best out of each material.  Get in there!!!

<<<Brandon>>> I’m loving the different color temps that each bounce board creates on the face. I really like the idea of setting these tones in camera to set the mood immediately!
<<<Ricardo>>>Yes! Thanks again for developing this series. For me it is eye opening… I never really knew when to use gold bounces… they always look a little artificial to me, but adding that Rosco Grid Cloth has taught me how to use this in a more subtle way. I love the way the skin tones blend in with the whole room temperature.
<<<Carlos: Thank you Shane for these series, I really like you video tutorial you have the gift of teaching!! You are creating a new generation of cinematographer!!
<<<Patrick>>>Your series on bounce light is really terrific.
<<<Tengs>>>One of the best ever…even if I am just a beginner of Film!
