IN THIS LESSON YOU WILL LEARN:  What is POORMAN’s PROCESS?  You have probably heard it, but not sure what it is all about.  Well back in the day you would project a driving sequence in the Background and then you would have your actors on stage and they would drive but not move.  Hence the term Poorman’s, because to go out and film sequences at night or day is very expensive.  This lesson is Part 1 of a 4 Part Course that takes you through everything necessary in delivering seamless VFX’s plate integration.  Dawn and Dusk are some of the most difficult times of day to create.  There is a fragility to that light which takes finesse, a specific light quality, color and quantity to pull it off.  Shane Hurlbut, ASC takes shows you his lighting playbook on all the choices he makes to pull off this type of lighting.  What is liquid light?  How do you create it?  What is the settings on the camera to create this look?  All of these questions and more will be uncovered.
