How to Light Night Exteriors with Gray Tones: Pt 2

INCLUDED IN THIS LESSON:  11 Minutes of Video, In-Depth Written Breakdown, Topdown Lighting Diagram    –Supplied w/English Subtitles

IN THIS LESSON YOU WILL LEARN:  What is silver moonlight?  This is what I feel is what true moonlight looks like, it has this gray silver quality to it, it is not blue but silver.  IN this lesson I go into how I use tungsten lights to create this mood and tone like I did on Terminator: Salvation and other films I have shot.  Once you go tungsten for moon light you never go back.  What color temp do you set your camera at to achieve this look, what specific tungsten lights do you use, what fill color tones do you use and what are their color temps?  All these questions and many more will be answered in this 2 part series on Gray Moonlight.

In your second part of this series we will finesse the fill light, increase our smoke levels and shoot our action stars running down the hill.  How do you create depth with your back light, how do control the back light?

<<<Armando E>>> Excellent stuff! Thanks for all the knowledge, you’re sharing a mighty treasure with us.
<<<Erben>>>This is one of my favorite lessons, because I love natural lighting, and your way of moonlighting is the best I‘ve ever seen!
