How to Light with Emotion: The Rat Pack

INCLUDED IN THIS LESSON:  3 Minutes of Movie clips to enhance instruction

IN THIS LESSON YOU WILL LEARN:  Research, immersing yourself in the culture, hanging with the population, noting the architecture, understanding the mood and tone of a location.  This is what this lesson is all about.  Putting in the time to prepare and immerse yourself in a world that you then have to re create is one of the most exciting things about being a cinematographer.  The places I see, the countries I visit, the cultures, food, architecture I witness is so much about being an artist.  Get inside my research head, how I prepare, how I educate myself to take the project to a new height.

@Amr Nazeer Hello Shane, thank you for this. Would you explain the light breakdown of the lady and men sitting at the table. Thank you

@Amr Nazeer HI Amr, Yes absolutely. This was the practical lamp on the table that filled under her chin, then I had a Chimera med Tungsten bank with a Barger Bagger 6K light pushing through it. Then I sent a Source ETC 4 Leko with a 26 Degree barrel to add that edge that brings out her cheek bones and eyes.
