“Golden Nuggets of Filmmaking” – Part 1
President & CEO, Light Iron
On May 9th, 2015, Hurlbut Visuals hosted an educational event at Revolution Cinema Rentals where President and CEO of Light Iron, Michael Cioni, and Director of Photography Sherri Kauk both gave presentations. Sherri’s presentation will be on the Hurlblog in the coming weeks.
Michael offers incredible insight into the evolution of the film landscape, diving into valuable areas of both technical and philosophical perspectives on filmmaking. Michael has made a lasting impact on the film world over the years and will continue to do so in the future, especially since Light Iron was purchased by Panavision in early December of 2014.
#1. Glass. Glass. Glass.
“If nothing changes except the lens choices, the entire project is elevated.”
#2. Fidelity Counts
“Who is fidelity really important to?”
Stay tuned in the coming weeks for the additional parts of the Golden Nuggets. Michael talks about collaboration, future proofing, “price per frame,” and much more.
Reminder for Attendees
For those who attended, don’t forget to contact Michael if you are interested in a trial period of the Live Play 3 system. This is a special offer from Light Iron for those who attended the actual event on May 9, 2015.
We want to especially thank Michael for giving us his time in putting together a fascinating, fun and relevant presentation. Thank you to all of our participating sponsors for the event who took the time to bring equipment and materials about their brands and products to show them to the attendees.
Thank you everyone for a great event!
