Born and raised in Gabon from a Senegalese mother and a Gabonese father. My multi-continental upbringing shapes my worldview and my perception as early as I can remember. My filmmaking journey began with graphic design and advertising and led me into the exploration of various ways of making images talk. Influenced by a wide range of style, art forms and collectives, my unconventional approach is rooted in my ability to trust my guts. So naturalisé when I felt like moving to moving images I started by making a short documentary as a Graduating project. I had no idea of what I was doing but I enjoyed so much that I wanted to make it in a more professional way. In 2006, I graduated with an MA in visual communication in Paris. After various professionals experiences I then went on to train further in documentary filmmaking in New York. in 2007, Graduated from NYFA (New York Film Academy). At the same time I kept working my way up as a cinematographer and director. In 2011, I co-directed and co-produced a documentary film with my friend and Director Marc A. Tchicot, "The Rhythm of My Life", we won the Audience Award at the European Film Festival independent ECU. In 2016, we launched a collection of 3 short films (Elizia Collection). This marks my debut in fiction as a director. "M-001" the first short of the collection won Best Short Film at TAFF (Festival du African film-Dallas) and also at CVIFF (Cabo Verde International Film Festival). In 2017 we won Best Director Award for another short "The Agent" at AfroFiction 48H Chronofilms competition. Now the best has yet to come.
