Alex Fuerst

Director of Photography in Portland, OR, USA
Hi I’m Alex 🙂

Portland based Director of Photography / Cinematographer with 16 years total industry experience. I also work in Dallas / Ft. Worth as a local. I'm a certified Motorized Precision motion control operator with the KIRA and MIA robots. Also, I am an O.G. Shane's Inner Circle member. Over the 15 years I've created looks for several high-profile projects for Facebook, Oculus, Intel, Patron and more. I've traveled all over the United States and to many parts of the world, so I am familiar with shooting on the go as well as on location or in studio. Having worked in nearly every role of a production team, I can easily relate with and communicate well with others to produce the best results possible and get the task done. When challenges arise, I offer solutions rather than additional problems. You can view a selection of my work at my website www.alexanderfuerst.com

"There are infinite shadings of light and shadows and colors... it's an extraordinarily subtle language. Figuring out how to speak that language is a lifetime job." – Conrad L. Hall, ASC

Angenieux EZ-2 15 to 40mm Cinema Lens Pack (Super35 and Full-Frame)

he EZ-2 15-40mm Cinema Lens Pack from Angenieux includes the PL mount version of the 15 to 40mm EZ-2 zoom lens with both the Super35 and FF/VistaVision rear lens-groups. The lens is fast, T2.0 in Super35 and T3.0 in full-frame/VistaVision. Swapping between the rear lens groups doesn't affect the physical length of the lens, minimum focus distance, or 2.7x zoom ratio. However, the full-frame rear lens group does change the lens from a 15 to 40mm zoom that covers Super35 to a 22 to 60mm zoom that covers the full-frame/VistaVision aperture. The lens itself has 3 manual lens control rings: focus, iris, and zoom. Each ring features cine-style 0.8 MOD gear teeth, for compatibility with follow focus units and lens control motors. The 114mm front diameter allows you to work with a wide variety of rod supported matte boxes.
